Our Commitment
BAUF is committed to ensuring that its website is accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), and to meet the requirements of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 as a best-practice standard.
Measures Taken
We have implemented measures including:
- Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy.
- Alternative text for meaningful images.
- Sufficient colour contrast ratios throughout the site.
- Keyboard navigability for interactive elements.
- Clearly labelled forms and inputs.
- Responsive layout that adapts to different screen sizes and zoom levels.
- Avoidance of content that flashes more than three times per second.
Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some areas may not yet be fully accessible:
- Some older PDF documents may not be fully screen-reader compatible. Where practicable we work to provide accessible alternatives.
- Embedded third-party content (such as maps or videos) may not fully meet accessibility standards — please consult the respective provider for accessibility information.
